in our next newsletter. We are thrilled that Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer will be our presenter! She served as San Miguel County’s first poet laureate (2007-2011) and as Western Slope Poet Laureate (2015-2017) and was a finalist for Colorado Poet Laureate in 2019. Rosemerry has written a poem a day since 2006, posting them since 2011 on her blog, A Hundred Falling Veils. Her poems can be heard daily on the Ritual app, The Poetic Path. Favorite themes include parenting, gardening, ecology, love, science, thriving/failure, grief and daily life.
She has 13 collections of poetry, and her work has appeared in O Magazine, A Prairie Home Companion, PBS News Hour, American Life in Poetry, on fences, in back alleys, on Carnegie Hall Stage, and on hundreds of river rocks she leaves around town.

Student Scholarship:
Open to all students (Wyoming K-12, community college, and university students) who would like to attend WyoPoets yearly April Workshop. Scholarship includes a one-year membership to WyoPoets and covers the cost of registration, meals, and one-night stayover at the Workshop location. Include a brief letter (no more than 500 words) explaining why you are applying. WyoPoets reviews all applications. Submit the letter to [email protected] with the Subject: Student Scholarship Application. Please include proof of student status with your submission.
General Scholarships:
Open to all who need some modest support in order to attend WyoPoets yearly April Workshop. Scholarship includes a one-year membership to WyoPoets and covers the cost of registration, meals, and one-night stayover at the Workshop location. Include a brief letter (no more than 500 words) explaining why you are applying. WyoPoets reviews all applications. Submit the letter to [email protected] with the Subject: General Scholarship Application.
UP Scholarships:
WyoPoets welcomes Underrepresented Poets and voices. If you feel your poetry style, orientation, subject, social, ethnic, race, or racial point of view is underrepresented in the world of poetry, please apply! Provide a brief letter (no more than 500 words) about the obstacles you've faced and the aspirations you have for an audience for your poetic voice. Scholarship includes a one-year membership to WyoPoets and covers the cost of registration, meals, and one-night stayover at the Workshop location. WyoPoets reviews all applications. Submit the letter to [email protected] with the Subject: UP Scholarship Application.

Please note:
- Do not simultaneously apply for more than one scholarship.
- The scholarship has no cash value to the winner(s). In the event of a cancellation of the Workshop or the awardee is unable to attend, the applicants must reapply for a future Workshop.
- No one may receive a scholarship a second time.
